focuses on an actual group of people rather than anthropomorphic
creatures – although even this depiction is somewhat unrealistic. The
protagonist is the very essence of a Scottish stereotype, complete with
accent, red hair and, last but not least, freckles.
Few Scottish women actually share the distinctive look presented

Although she has never lived in Scotland, and actually grew up in
