Born in 3nd July 1980 by the name Lisa Munn, Olivia Munn changed her
name later in 2006 out of personal and fame reasoning. She was born in
Oklahoma with an athletic build, 5ft 7” tall, brown dark eyes and with
alternative names of The Geek Goddess, Munnder Woman and The Pie Queen.
Olivia Munn though born in the United States has a Chinese decent on
her mother’s side and Caucasian decent to her father. Her mother
remarried to an Air force man when Olivia Munn was two years old. In
spite of her family relocating now and then, she grew up in Shinjuku
district of Tokyo where she was assigned a stepfather by the military.
She had appeared in many local theater productions and became a model in
Japanese fashion industry. She also attended the Oklahoma University
where she majored in Journalism and minored in Japanese and Dramatic
arts.
Olivia Munn later moved back to the United States and settled in Los
Angeles, California to settle for her acting career. She interned in Fox
Sports Net as a sideline reporter for the college football as well as
the women’s basketball in 2004. She later on claimed to have hated the
experience as she was personifying somebody she was not.
She gained a role in the Scarecrow Gone Wild, a straight video horror
film and later appeared in the ‘Hello Tomorrow’ Zebrahead’s rock band
video. She then appeared in Beyond the Break, TV drama in 2005 as a teen
surfer. Olivia Munn appeared in ‘The Road to Canyon Lake’.
Olivia Munn co-hosted in G4 Network the ‘Attack of the Show!’ alongside
Kevin Pereira on the 10th of April. Her movie debut was in ‘Big Stan’, a
Rob Schneider movie, where she played a receptionist character as Maria.
She later received a significant role in the horror film of 2008 ‘Insanitarium’,
playing a nurse of a mental asylum. She was announced in 2010 to be
starring in the oncoming TV series ‘Perfect Couples’ by NBC.
